Victim of a Painful Reality

Ever read the short story, "An Occurence at Owl Creek Bridge"? Well, recently I had to do a project with a friend about it. I was given the privaledge to create a visual scene from the story and this is the result.
This scene takes place when Peyton falls off the bridge and into the river when the noose snapped. During that time the Union soldiers started firing at him.
I think I could have done better, but its my first time using the brush application of SAI, so I think it came out pretty good for my first attempt.
